How to get the verified tick

What the tick is

A blue tick beside a creator’s name on Influ.com.lk means one thing: every platform on their rate card is linked to us, and the followers and engagement shown there are read from the platforms themselves rather than typed in by hand.

It is our own mark, about the numbers on this site. It has nothing to do with any tick a platform such as Instagram or X grants or sells separately, and it cannot be bought here.

The four steps

Open Account → Linked accounts. The screen shows your progress — 1 of 4, 2 of 4, and so on — and exactly what each platform needs next.

1. TikTok — press Link account, sign in on TikTok and approve read-only access.
2. Instagram — needs a professional account (Business or Creator), which is free to switch to in Instagram’s settings, then link it the same way.
3. Facebook — link your Page. A personal profile shares no follower numbers with any app, so it has to be a Page.
4. YouTube — nothing to link. We read your public channel, and it verifies itself at the next daily refresh.

A platform has to be on your rate card before it can be linked, with your handle and a price. If one is missing, the step says so and takes you to Profile & rates to add it.

Why bother

• Brands trust numbers they can check. A verified figure is one nobody typed in.
• You are shown first. Verified creators are listed ahead of unverified ones whenever a brand’s chosen order is otherwise equal, and brands can filter for verified stats only.
• Your analytics fill out. Engagement, average views and, where the platform provides it, audience age, gender and locations.
• The tick travels. It appears on your rate card, on browse, and on every list your profile appears on.

Part way there still counts

You do not have to do all four at once, and nothing is hidden if you never do. Each platform you link earns a verified mark on that platform’s own card, and your numbers there stop being “creator-provided”. The blue tick is simply the point where all four are done.

Keeping it

The tick follows the connections. If you change a platform password, remove our access in that platform’s settings, or unlink one here, that platform stops reading and the tick comes off until it is linked again. We email you when a connection stops working, and reconnecting takes about a minute.

Nothing else is affected: your profile stays live, your prices stay yours, and bookings already agreed carry on exactly as before.

What we can and cannot see

Linking is read-only. We can read your profile, follower numbers, recent posts and, where a platform offers it, audience insights. We can never post, comment, message or spend as you. Your access key is encrypted before it is stored and no one on our team can read it. Unlinking deletes our copy — see connecting your accounts and verified stats.
