Why food sells best through creators

Nobody decides where to eat from a banner advert. They decide after watching someone take the first bite. For restaurants, cafés, bakeries and food brands, a local creator's visit or recipe is the closest thing to a friend's recommendation, and it keeps working as people save and share it.

Food is also the most local niche there is. A café in Kandy needs creators whose followers live in Kandy, which is why the city pages — Colombo, Kandy, Galle — are worth a look alongside this one.

Briefing a restaurant visit

Tell the creator what to order, when to come, whether the meal is complimentary, and the one thing you want people to remember: the dish, the view, the price. Ask them to tag your page and location. Give each creator a code for a small discount so you can see which visits brought people through the door.

How booking works

  1. Choose creators. Add the ones you want to your swarm; each price is on their rate card.
  2. Send one brief and pay once. Your payment is held. Each creator has 72 hours to accept.
  3. Creators post. A person checks every post against your brief before the creator is paid.
  4. Missed deadlines are refunded. Automatically, platform fee included.
FAQ

Questions people ask

How do I find food bloggers in Colombo?

Filter this list by city in browse, or open the Colombo page for creators in every niche there. Each food creator shows their price per platform and, where connected, verified engagement. For a restaurant, pick creators whose followers are local and whose recent posts get comments asking where the place is.

How much do food influencers charge in Sri Lanka?

Each creator on Influ.com.lk sets their own price per post, from LKR 1,000, shown before you book. Many local food creators are micro-creators priced in the low thousands to low tens of thousands of rupees. A 12% platform fee is added at checkout. The meal itself is usually on the restaurant, and should be stated in the brief.

Should a restaurant book one big food blogger or several small ones?

For a local restaurant, several small ones usually work better. Three or four creators whose followers live nearby reach the people who can actually visit, and give you a comparison of who brings customers in. One large account reaches many people who live too far away to come.
